Some programs are being held in person at Unity Spiritual Center, 3021 S. University Blvd, Denver and some programs will be conducted by Zoom webinar. If the program will be a Zoom webinar, the title of the program will be a hyperlink to the registration page. DFO traditionally offers programs eight months a year (January through April, August through November) on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 PM. As always, DFO programs are free and open to the public.
A summary of the DFO monthly program is published in the following month's newsletter. When possible, monthly programs are video-recorded. Click on the Video Archive button below to view.
Better Birding Workshops
Better Birding Workshops are a new initiative of DFO to help people improve their birding skills. Workshops will focus on species identification, birdsong, the use of online birding tools, seasonal migration and other field topics. The DFO Knowledge and Learning Committee welcomes your ideas for future workshops.
Citizen science is research and data gathering by community members. DFO promotes this public participation in scientific observation and study to help improve understanding of the birds we love to see and watch. Click on Learn More to find out about current DFO "cit-sci" projects and how you can participate, both on club-led trips or your own excursions into the field. Even if you don't officially volunteer for a project, the materials here can help you become a better birder.
