If you choose this option, please contact your leader to assure you are signed up for the trip.

Please note: Each person, including each family member choosing to sign the Agreement electronically must login and have a separate account so that the agreement is tied to the individual. If you are having difficulty with multiple logins, please contact us for assistance. *Minors: If participant is a minor, the minor’s parent or legal guardian must print out, review and sign a paper copy of the Agreement and present it to the leader before the trip start. I don’t believe DFO has visited Wyoming before, so lets do! We will head to Laramie, Wy then 35 miles to the Snowy Mountain Range, Lake Marie, in Southeast Wyoming from there we will proceed to Waldrn, CO. We will bird Walden area & return home.

The Snowy Range is the jewel of southern Wyoming with crystal blue alpine lakes, alpine meadows and wildflowers with subalpine elevation of 9,000 to 12,000. Our end stop there will be pristine Lake Marie where mountain species of Yelllow-rumped Warblers, nuthatches, Mountain Chickadee & Stellar's Jay to name a few. It is less than from 3 hours from CPW to Lake Marie, Once we reach Lake Marie, we can take easy trails for about 1-2 miles of uneven ground taking in the fresh air & scenery..

Prepare for varying temps from prairie to 10,000 elevation & back. Nice time to be in the high mountains! Bring sufficient food & drink for this OVERNIGHT trip along with sun protection, binoculars and scopes.

Restrooms will be available along the Snowy Mountain Range at outhouse types. From there they are limited to Walden’s lodging.

We will stay in Walden, CO overnight. You are responsible for your meals & lodgings arrangements. We will go to a mutually agreed upon restaurant for dinner.

As always, should you have a scheduling conflict, please drop off this trip, as a courtesy to other members who care to join, and so we’re not expecting you at the start. Additionally, should you not be feeling well? Please drop off the trip as a courtesy to your fellow birders.
