Meet Charles Chase
Charlie has been involved in ornithology and birding since 1974 starting here in Colorado. After many years at the Denver Museum of Natural History as the Curator of Ornithology, he spent the next twenty years working around the work on a wide variety of bird and ecology projects. Later his focus on environmental restoration and design lead to a faculty position at the University of Colorado Boulder and Denver. Now he is involved with avian conservation issues at Rocky Mountain Arsenal and with the Bird Conservancy of the Rockies.
I enjoy leading trips of all kinds especially with a focus on understanding birds in their environments and helping people learn how to see, count and id birds.
