Meet Angela Grun

The Beginning Birding Class with Denver Audubon had me hooked over ten years ago. My favorite bird is the American Goldfinch. I am working on improving my identification of swallows. Sparrows continue to challenge me and I find sketching them is helpful.
I like to lead local trips at present. Not more than three hours. I enjoy bird counts when I need to focus and count everything. Hiking for about three miles is about my maximum especially if the terrain is steep. I like to bird with a mixed group of birding abilities. More eyes and ears are helpful.
I play bridge and I enjoy wild flowers, especially native plants.

        Meet Cynthia Breidenbach

Call me Cindy! My birding adventure began by monitoring bird boxes with my daughter's Girl Scout troop about 15 years ago. Such fun for me and hopefully the girls too! In the past six years I have been participating in bird walks regularly with South Platte Park, Denver Field Ornithologists, Majestic View Nature Center and Audubon as well as taking the Audubon Naturalist Class. In 2023 I wanted to become a volunteer that is outdoors and leading groups so I applied for the Audubon Master Birder Class and was accepted. Now that I have completed the class, I am excited to be leading bird walks enjoying my time with other people who also enjoy identifying birds and their habitats!
I plan to lead trips around the Denver metro area that are 2-3 miles of hiking. My favorite places to go are South Platte Park, Waterton Canyon, Audubon Nature Center, South Valley Park, and Roxborough State Park. All close to my home in Littleton.
