Meet Cassandra Stroud
I am somewhat of a cliché - a birder who started to be interested in birds after gazing out my home window while cooped up all day during the pandemic. Since then, I have become fully immersed in learning as much as I can about birds!
I lived in Denver as a kid, but I was much more interested in looking down at bugs, so I never looked up and saw the birds. I moved back to Denver in 2022 and have since begun learning all the birds I never noticed when I last lived here. I took the Denver Audubon beginner birding class in 2024 and got involved with DFO shortly after. Since then, I’ve been a regular on DFO and Denver Audubon trips, and I bird my local patch (Huston Lake) daily with my dog Trout. I’m excited to start leading trips to share what I’ve learned and to learn more from all of you!
