About Your Trip Leader

Meet Ryan Corda

Ryan Corda

I’ve been birding since March 2024 and have been in love with it ever since! I don't think there's a habitat I haven’t enjoyed exploring, nor a style of birding I haven’t loved doing, so I hope to explore a bit of everything in the trips I lead. I’m excited to get out into the field with fellow birders and expand our knowledge and appreciation of birds together!

If I'm not out birding, you could probably find me rock climbing, walking my dog, or at the movies (the first two of which are almost certainly involving some passive birding, anyway).

Meet Jason Bidgood

Jason Bidgood

My interest in birding grew out of a life-long interest in nature and natural history. I’ve been actively birding since 2015 and joined DFO a year later in 2016. Most of my birding experience has been patch birding in the Denver metro area. I enjoy birding year-round and getting to know the common birds.

An ideal field trip to me involves walking several miles over a few hours, taking time to observe interesting bird behavior. I prefer to lead smaller groups. I typically can't be out birding all day, so my trips will be on the shorter end of the spectrum. In addition to knowing the birds I also enjoy learning about geology, native plants and insects.
