About the Trip
This trip is limited to the first 9 registrations.

This two day trip will be a classic Southeast Colorado field trip at a peak time of spring migration! This trip will visit areas in Prowers, Baca, Kiowa, Bent, Otero and Crowley counties, hitting many of the best spots for spring migrants, including expectations of rare birds. We will visit Lamar hots pots, Two Buttes, the Queens Reservoirs, Tempel Grove, Jolhn Martin Reservoir, and much more. This is a great trip for SE Colorado specialties and a wide variety of shorebirds and migrant landbirds. Meeting and itinerary details will be provided. The 7 am meeting time will be for a location in Otero County. Expect long, full days with long drives. On May 7 we will also bird in teh evening. Weather may be hot. We will overnight at Lamar. Participants are responsible for their own lodging arrangements and food. Carpool arrangements will be made in advance, and we will seek to have no more than 3 cars.
