About the Trip
This trip is limited to the first 10 registrations.

Details: The Pawnee is awakening with Spring. This field trip will venture into the Pawnee National Grasslands and Weld County. Ferruginous Hawks, Longspurs, Short-eared Owls, Burrowing Owls and Sharp-tailed Grouse are the feasible species we hope to see. This trip is rated strenuous due to the length of travel time. Walking will be intermittent and not long distances. Plan for dressing in layers with fluctuating weather temperatures. Plan for food & liquids to cover the travel day. Restroom breaks on the Pawnee can be limited & challenging so plan accordingly. There will be scopes for distant viewing, if you don’t bring one, plan on bring your binoculars. As always, once on the trip, should you have a scheduling conflict, please remove your name from the trip on the DFO website. This will allow all interested, access to the trip. Register online or contact leader.
