Meet the leaders at the U.S. Post Office in Sedalia. Take Hwy 85 to Sedalia in Douglas County; turn southwest on Hwy 67; drive through Sedalia over 2 major sets of railroad tracks. The U.S. Post Office is on the northwest (right) side of Hwy 67.
About the Trip
This trip is limited to the first 10 registrations.
We will target 7 woodpecker species including American Three-toed and Lewis’s, and other nesting mountain species. We will bird in Douglas and Jefferson Counties including the in the Hayman Burn area. Will be off-trail walking in moderate terrain for a total of 1 to 2 miles with minimal altitude gain. Bring lunch, water, and clothing adequate for changeable mountain weather. Register online or contact leader.
