About the Trip
This trip is limited to the first 12 registrations.

An early start will put us up at the reservoir edge before the spectacle of the fly out of geese and gulls -- and it may be spectacular! Aurora reservoir attracts large numbers of geese and ducks, and we can hope for scoters, long-tailed duck, Ross's Geese and more. Gulls will abound and challenge us, but Thayer's and Lesser Black-backed are expected and it is an excellent time for rarer species. We will visit Cherry Creek, and be ready to chase any nearby rarity that might be a Big Year bird. $10 car entry fee at Aurora, and state park entry at Cherry Creek. Plan for a few miles of level walking, as snow allows.
