Leader: Karen Drozda   drozforte@AOL.com or 303-388-0891

Directions
Meet at the NE corner of the intersection of Highway 93 and 170. Carpool 3 miles west to the trailhead within the park where parking is limited. State Parks pass or day pass of $8 is required.

We will be hiking the Fowler and Goshawk Ridge trails. The trail parallels the steeply dipping Dakota hogback and a recent burn area where Lewis's Woodpeckers have nested. Habitats range from dense shrubbery to open ponderosa pine forest. Fantastic views of the grasslands and mesas south of Boulder. Highlights can be Northern Goshawk, Lewis's Woodpeckers, and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers. Bring water, snacks and lunch. We will take a side trip into Boulder to locate the Bobolink on Cherryvale Rd. Register online or contact the leader.
