Meet Susan Blansett
I birded mostly on my own during the '90s, all over CO and in other states where my clients were. Started my life list in 1994 at Brazos Bend SP in TX, and soon discovered Tuesday Birders, DFO and Evergreen Audubon. My favorite bird is the one I'm looking at through my bins, though I get especially excited about raptors & owls. I enjoy gardening for the birds & bees, feeding birds year-round, and have a nicely varied yard list. Love leading DFO field trips!
I like to lead mostly walking trips of up to 4-5 miles in any season or habitat -- on the Front Range mostly, though I also enjoy a good mountain hike. My home patches include Tucker Gulch, Red Rocks and Prospect Park/Wheat Ridge Greenbelt.
