Meet Wes Donnell
Birding has been a lifelong adventure and learning experience for me. I've always been based out of the Front Range, but gathered a lot of knowledge from the Midwest and East Coast. I love all birds alike, but what makes birding in Colorado outstanding for me is the diversity and specializations of localized residents from Dippers to Pinyon Jays and beyond.
I'm a Birder x Mountaineer (hybrid), so while I will set out to find birds anywhere through a variety of modes, I prefer patiently birding a destination on foot. I like to pick target species, but this is more of a driving force for ambitious exploration. The adventures, learning, and community in birding are rewarding and fun, regardless of whether any bird of choice makes an appearance.
