A great Hike-birding spot with typical forest birds of mid-altitude. Reservoir, in season, should have water-fowl. We will meet at CPW and drive to Lyons, CO area (near Hwy 36 & Cnty rd 80) , about 1.5 hours drive, then hike the road and trail. Should see Dipper and other birds like Stellar's Jays, Nuthatches, Eagles, etc. Bring snacks, water, lunch, camera and binoculars. An area has some switchbacks and you may want hiking pole(s) and/or yak trax type gear. Total hike about 7 miles max. Register online or contact the leader.
